How Story Dogs Changes the Story
Every week, over 580 volunteer dog teams sit alongside more than
2,900 children in schools across Australia.
No pressure. No red pen. Just a friendly dog, a caring volunteer, and the space to try.
When a child reads to a Story Dog, the fear melts away, confidence blossoms,
and page by page, story by story, their future begins to change.
New Title
The 12 Dogs of Christmas isn’t just a song.
It’s a celebration of community, creativity, and the power of connection through reading and joy.
This special project came to life thanks to the generosity, talent and heart of so many people who gave their time, energy and support to make it magic.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to:
Pressroom Philanthropy – for bringing the vision to life through filming
Alex Walton – for her brilliant videography
Elwood Primary School – for opening their doors, sharing their space and generously allowing us to disrupt their routine
A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated leadership team at Elwood Primary:
- Nicole Richards – Principal, for rehearsing and conducting the choir
- Rossana Grosso – Deputy Principal, for her incredible support
