Host a WOOF Day in your workplace.
Support children learning to read and build confidence for life.
This April, workplaces across Australia are turning orange to support children learning to read.
- Choose a day.
- Wear orange.
- Raise funds.
- Build reading confidence.
Every dollar helps a child feel safer opening a book.
How it works
What is WOOF?
WOOF (Wear Orange On Friday) is our national workplace campaign supporting literacy confidence.
When your team wears orange and raises funds in April, you directly support Story Dogs reading sessions in schools across Australia.
- It’s simple.
- It’s visible.
- It makes a measurable difference.
Why reading
confidence matters.
For some children, reading out loud feels overwhelming. Fear of making mistakes can stop progress before it begins.
Story Dogs pairs trained volunteers and accredited reading dogs with children who need a calm, supportive space to practise.
The result?
• Reduced anxiety
• Increased confidence
• Stronger literacy habits
• A positive connection to reading
Confidence builds readers.
When confidence grows, literacy follows.
