WOOF for Story Dogs Day!!
When you organise a WOOF for Story Dogs event, you bring your team together for a good cause!
Download, print and put up a poster - with a date (PDF), without a date (PDF), or editable date format in word.
8 easy steps:
You might even get a visit from a Story Dog Team! (If paw-ssible...)
Just $30 will provide a school term of one-on-one reading sessions with a dog and struggling young reader.
Story Dogs does not receive any Government funding and all of our Dog Teams are volunteers. Story Dogs works with over 300 primary schools but with over 6223 primary schools in Australia, we have a long way to go!
Could you do your job if you could not read?
Learning to read is often less about intellectual limitation than about overcoming fears.
"Fear can destroy intelligence," says educator William Ayers.
Dogs are ideal reading companions because they promote relaxation and lower blood pressure, do not judge, laugh or criticise and allow children to proceed at their own pace.
We need your help!
When you register you will receive a WOOF Event Pack - Anything is paw-sible...
Register your organisation to host a Woof event!
