Not all children ‘get’ reading. For some it takes a bit longer. Unfortunately our education systems are not all resourced to pick up the ones falling behind. Regular one-on-one reading sessions are often the best way to help a child become a confident lifelong reader. This is what Story Dogs delivers; but also so much more with the loving nature of a wonderful dog and caring volunteer.

Story Dogs uses specific books chosen for their use of rhyming, fun story line and repetitive or engaging text. These books are the cornerstone of the reading session. One set (6) is given free to all volunteers starting.

FAQ's

  • Will I get a receipt?

    Yes, paying by credit card or PayPal you will automatically receive one. If you donate by EFT please send a request to admin@storydogs.org.au

  • Can I pay an invoice via the GiveNow donation portal on the website?

    Yes. Click on the 'Donate with Credit Card' button

    Enter amount, click on 'next'

    Enter details, click on 'company' option and put your school/company name and or invoice number 

    You will receive a tax receipt.

  • Is my donation tax deductible?

    Yes. Story Dogs is a Deductable Gift Recipient registered Charity

  • What will my donation be used for?

    Donations are used to fund the ‘front line’ part of our program. Specifically the volunteer Dog Teams and volunteer Coordinators. Ensuring they have all the essential items, are insured, are well supported and trained and recognized for the amazing work they do is what your donation will be used for. Happy, well equipped, well supported volunteers means they stay for longer, meaning we have less recruitment costs, less training of new volunteers and ultimately more children helped.

  • Which payment methods are accepted?

    Credit card, PayPal, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and Cheques mailed to us.

  • Can I give monthly?

    Yes though our GiveNow platform, with your credit card, or via the PayPal option. We do not accept monthly payments via EFT or cheques.

  • Does Story Dogs have a refund policy?

    Yes: If you have made a donation in error, Story Dogs can provide you with a refund. Please notify us by emailing info@storydogs.org.au or phoning 0411 536 355. Story Dogs may request some form of personal information in order to verify your identity before providing a refund.

  • What are our bank details for EFT?
