How we met: After a lifetime with Labradors, I applied for greyhound adoption. 'Foxy' finished racing after 100 starts and came to me 2 weeks later.
Great loves:  Sleeping, cuddles, kids and doing 'zoomies'
Favourite foods:  Cheese, sausages and chicken
Doesn’t like:  Getting up in the mornings
Quirks: He does fabulous yoga - down dogs are his specialty

About: Carla is a retired Primary Teacher who enjoys outdoor activities, cooking and travelling

How we met:  We raised her from 8 weeks old as a Guide Dog Puppy. She was reclassified as a Therapy Dog so I can use her as a Story Dog
Great loves:  Food, people and other dogs (in that order)
Favourite foods:  Chicken
Doesn’t like:  Being left alone
Quirks:  She loves being cuddled and played with roughly

Jodie and 'Winston' help children at St Josephs Primary School

About: Jodie is retired. She spends time looking after her 2 year old granddaughter. Loves spending time with family

How we met:  We met when I picked Winston up from his breeder on the central coast of NSW as a 12 week old puppy. We have been inseparable ever since.
Great loves:  Following me, playing with his toys, napping and meeting new dog friends
Favourite foods:  He is a bit fussy with food but his favourite would be roast chicken
Doesn’t like:  Sleeping under covers, thunder
Quirks:  Even though he loves to go on walks or coming in the car with me, he sometimes hides under the dining table when I want to put his harness on

About: Tricia lives in Canberra and works with St Vincent De Paul. She loves doing anything that involves nature.

How we met:  'Dude' is a family dog who lives with me in Canberra, but also spends time with family down the south coast.
Great loves:  Going for walks, especially on the beach, and being patted any time of the day or night.

Doesn’t like:  Swimming and getting wet

How we met:  Always had dogs, but mainly working dogs, Kelpies. My first Dachshund, she is beautiful.

Great loves:  Cuddles, curling up next to me on the sofa

Doesn’t like: Going out to pee in the rain

Quirks:   She shas the waggiest tail - her whole body wags!
