How we met: After a lifetime with Labradors, I applied for greyhound adoption. 'Foxy' finished racing after 100 starts and came to me 2 weeks later.

How we met: 'Dude' is a family dog who lives with me in Canberra, but also spends time with family down the south coast.

How we met: 'Digger' is a failed working dog from a cattle property in Queensland. We adopted him from the Animal Welfare League in Moree NSW. He flew to Melbourne to meet us, then drove home to our farm near the ACT border
